  1. Hi Richard,
I really appriciate you were talking about K.Čapek as I have admiration for him. Yes , he was an exellent writer and playwright and in my point of view he was definitely worthy of winning Nobel Award. You probably know where the word robot comes from, nevertheless I have found it just
recently :). Robota meant very hard work and in Austro-Hungarian Empire was abolished in 1848. Btw Čapek’s brother Josef recommended him to use the word robot in the play RUR.
Your podcasts are really gripping, helpful as well as amusing. I would appreciate having them in PDF too .

    1. Hi Eva, thanks for your comments, I will shortly add a transcript to the show notes so you’ll be able to listen again and follow along. I’ll also upload to the YouTube channel. 🙂

  2. Hi Rich,
Here is Marketa, your student from Cluz.
First of all, all the best for 2024!!

My question to your last podcast:
    – you are speaking about “concrete” plans.
Is it possible to use the word concrete instead of specific?
I thought that concrete we can use only for czech “beton” (from my job) and specific for czech “konkretni”.
Your reply can be in person next week.
    Have a nice day.

    M
