Will this course improve my English quickly?
Absolutely yes! If you follow the instructions outlined in the introduction then by the end of one month you will have corrected up to 30 of the most common mistakes intermediate level speakers make.
Is it just you talking behind a desk like most video courses?
Absolutely NOT! Of course there is some of me sitting and talking to you directly but I have also filmed many short sketches ( insert Czech word here), made graphic animations, played guitar and sung, acted and generally done everything I can to help you correct those mistakes.
What if I don’t understand everything you say?
All the videos have English subtitles and most also ave on screen captions. Remember you can start and stop the video when you want to if you need to find out what some words mean and repeat videos until you fully understand.
Why don’t I just watch You Tube videos for free?
You can and you should. There are many excellent videos for learning English on You Tube and other platforms but this course is specifically for intermediate level Czechs and Slovaks who want to correct their most common mistakes.
Aren’t you just an English teacher? What makes you think you can make a great video course?
Before I moved to the Czech Republic (5 and a half years ago) I worked in Cambridge as a video artist. I produced short films, live broadcasts and ran workshops helping young people and adults with disabilities how to use video equipment. At school, college and University I studied multi media, sedign and communications for over 8 years.
How long is the course?
This Better Your English Now has around 30 videos varying in length from 40 secs to 7 minutes. In total, almost an hour of great video lessons, which, if you follow the instructions for the course, will take you a month to complete.
What will I achieve by taking this course?
A renewed sense of confidence in your English ability, up to 30 of your most common mistakes corrected, a lot of new vocabulary and you will get better at listening to spoken English and reading written English.
